Hidden Fairway Golf Club is Tampa’s first fully autonomous indoor driving range. Conveniently located in Tampa’s downtown core, members have access to 1,800 square feet of golf privacy with state of the art technology. Here is the story of how it was built in three months.
I found a warehouse in the North Hyde Park area that was in desperate need of some TLC. I signed the lease and already had a plan mapped out.
Applying lessons I learned in Foundations of Project Management at the University of South Florida, I created a Roadmap using Monday.
Partnering with Court Reserve created a seamless and easy way for clients to book. Clients reserve the time that they want, and the system automatically sends them a pincode for the door. This allows us to be open from 5AM - 2AM without needing physical employees.
The app was built using Court Reserve’s workflows. All buttons, pages, and layouts were made by me.
Hidden Fairway has been open for over a year and runs fully autonomously, with occasional help from the University of Tampa Golf Club. The club has 72 members on punch passes or unlimited memberships. I managed the project from start to finish. Communication was paramount with contractors and designers. Everything from the logo design, to painting and finishing touches were managed by me. I would love the opportunity to bring this real world experience to a new company.
